Fizzing Colours Experiment

This is another great science experiment to do with children to develop their problem solving skills and broaden their knowledge and understanding of the world. Plus, this science experiment has very minimal mess as it’s all contained within the tray.

All you need is:

  • Non-stick baking paper
  • Bicarbonate of soda
  • Food colouring
  • A foil baking tray
  • Distilled vinegar
  • Droppers

First of all, line the tray with the baking paper, then sprinkle the bicarb to cover the bottom of the tray. Then using droppers, drop some different colour food colouring into separate sections. Lastly, on top of the food colouring, drop some distilled vinegar and watch those colours fizz!
