Magic Milk

This is a simple experiment just using food. You can just watch how the colour disperses or manipulate the pattern by swirling with a cotton bud.

All you need for this experiment is:

  • A foil tray
  • Milk
  • Food colouring
  • Some cotton buds
  • Droppers

First, pour some milk into the foil tray. Then, using Droppers, drop some food colouring into the milk. This is more effective if you use different colours. Then either just watch what happens or use the cotton buds to swirl the food colouring in the milk (children prefer this idea).

Just 2 ingredients!
